Definitely a better pub since it was changed from The Goose. And the food is quality for the prices.
Very disappointed on last visit 2/11/18 the place was practically empty. There was background music but its not the same now without a dj or karaoke. There seems to be no cut off point regarding buying drink as one Woman could hardly stand and she was still getting served, obviously profit is more important than the well being of the customer, i know we are all responsible for our own actions but every other pub I've been in will not serve someone if they have had too much to drink. The young English bar manwas pleasant but to be honest that was the only decent thing going for the place. I always made a point of going to this pub on a night out but unless they get their act together and put some entertainment on then i don't think I'll be back and i can honestly see the place closing down.
Good choice of beers served here and food better than average. can be very busy at weekends.
Came in yesterday for a quiet drink and a quick bite to eat. Had the mac and cheese burger and the wife had fish n chips both looked amazing, the fish was huge! And the burger was nice too, very cheap and good service. Defiantly would be back again!!
Excellent bar staff, great atmosphere, delicious food and a brilliant pint to top it off. Cant go wrong at new market bar.
