Have passed the sign for this place many times but finally got round to trying it out on Saturday (12.30pm ish)Amazing! Wish we had tried it before. It's a quirky little place, fantastic friendly, welcoming staff. I had a Caesar salad with a strawberry milkshake and my partner had the steak pie and a pot of tea. Salad was full of fresh chicken breast and lovely crispy bacon and a homemade dressing (you've gotta be hungry..it's a big portion) the milkshake took me back to my childhood days of visiting Italian ice-cream parlours. My partner said the steak pie was the best he had had in years! He loved the hand-knitted tea cosies and spotted a few different ones on other tables (you can purchase them, they have an album of designs!) We had a wee penguin! Good choice considering it was so cold outside. Great menu, special kids section, loads of choice with gluten free etc too. If you're about early pop in for breakfast. Homemade cakes looked amazing (too full to try any this visit) and huge range of lovely teas. Will definitely be back!

Amazing place! First time visiting, food was fantastic and great portion size. Nice little touch with the hand made tea coseys as well. Cakes are outstanding!

A treasure in a quiet lane off theHigh Street. you need to know where this place is but it is worth finding. Space is tight between the tables but the range of food is a treat. Service is quick and friendly and you are always greeted by a cheerful welcome.

Had a lovely lunch here today. Wraps served with a nice fresh salad. Always enjoy the food here and great coffee too. Service with a smile as always.

Fabulous tea (lots of choice of unusual flavours - I personally recommend the Ginger Snap, liked it so much we bought a bag of the loose tea) and what can I say about the scrumptious cakes that other discerning cake lovers haven't already said!?! Absolutely amazing! We had the Caramac cake. Moist sponge and not too sweet cream filling throughout. There were many other dessert choices but the huge cakes drew our attention, and did not disappoint. 10/10 all round
