The facilities are basic here but it worked fine as an overnight halt and is quiet enough.

Basic site but very friendly host. Very convenient for the Falkirk Wheel and canals. Our host offered a taxi service to the station for easy access to Glasgow and Edinburgh. We even had a ride in a horse and carriage.

Fabulous 3 nights spent here, first night we had a midnight walk up to the UFO landing viewpoint. Next day cycled down to the Falkirk Wheel then on along the canal towpath, lovely seeing all the narrowboats on route to see the Kelpies. In the evening there was a ceilidh where site owner played the pipes. My last morning I had a horse n carriage ride with Tommy the horse. Great location, quiet and relaxed, welcoming, on site facilities, everything you need. Definitely be back.

Horrible experience... First time going out in our caravan thought going local was a great idea bad choice. Will never be back. The Owner Ian was very rude and spoke down to us. The speed he drives up and down the gravel is shocking. All he seems to bother about is money. So unless you have a van that is worth more than 60k you won't be treated very kindly and will be spoken down to. On the other hand the woman who works here (didn't catch her name) is lovely and really friendly. Also like to point out that the collie isn't very friendly either it went for our dog when partner was taking the dog out. The dog was lay in dark tied up and went for our dog. He also wanted money for my partners parents for being on the campsite 5 for each car and another 1.50 each for themselves ( they were only bringing something up to as forgot to lift it). We just felt very unwanted. Will say Ian did help us with a hook up cable as we lifted the wrong one and the facilities were spot on and very clean.

Had a fantastic 3 nights here. The campsite owner and staff couldnt have been more helpful. Very relaxed and laid back. If you are interested in UFOs you must go, definitely seen something strange and my dog saw something on the way to the UFO landing site. Easy walk to the Falkirk wheel and short drive to the Kelpies. Will be back. Thank you for a great holiday
