Very reasonably priced. Was quoted that I needed a new exhaust from another company when it only needed a bracket, Alan's team done it on the spot for 15
Best garage in area for knowledge , service and reliability.
Where to start one star is too much had my car in here getting alot of work done i was apprentice mechanic for 2 years so i know a bit about cars etc.Took car down last december to get car fixed sat there for weeks nothing happening so i kept chasing them up about it.Here is a list of the work i wanted carried out along with alot of other things.Rear axle fittedExhaust from catbackFront coiloversTiming belt and waterpump kitHeater matrix New radiatorFront discs and pads Rear discs and padsFrom giving them the car on 14th of december it went away and sat at the other garage for nearly 3 month waiting for it to be welded.Allan in his wisdom fitted the front discs and pads and rear discs and pads then sent the car off to the other garage as he didnt want to do the welding on it as it was to big a job when he had already said he was welding it also, so the new discs and pads had been sitting by this point for 3 month. So i got the car back and the mot sheet with front discs and rear discs as an advisory on the mot and the top bearing was seized so started the car up took it a 10 minute drive the window wiper then proceeded to fly off the wiper arm on the motorway at 70mph luckily it was the old hook type wiper arm so it held it on along with the road test i found 23 other faults with the car the car had been road tested allegedly and i can tell you for a fact it had not because you would not give anyone there car back in the condition i received it i took the car straight back to allans and phoned him the next morning.I then proceeded to ask why my brand new window wiper wasnt on right to which allan said aww it must not have been clipped on right how can a mechanic not clip a window wiper blade on correctly it also passed its mot with one of the screenwasher jets hitting the roof not the window to me that is poor workmanship and should have been replaced.I made allan very clear i was not happy by this point and told him that the car had banging and cluncking noises and my newly fitted exhaust was hitting off the chassis. So allan took the car in and fixed what i wasnt pleased with and it was still driving horribly and did not feel right so i took it to a specialist to see what the problem was i then got a phonecall from them saying was it a mechanic that fitted your coilovers or did you do them yourself because they are fitted very poorly so i got my car back from them and the noises stopped so the top bearing was not seized it had extra parts fitted so it could not move freely.Allan also fitted my brand new axle on the old bushes and also put this as a mot advisory which he did replace with new bushes after i kicked up why he would fit new parts on old worn bushes. So i eventually got the car back and it started spitting antifreeze over my brand new radiator that was just put on because someone filled the reservoir up too high.I also took most of the parts down to allan timing belt kit etc and told him they were in the boot ready to fit when i opened the boot my parts were still there so i phoned allan and said you have not fitted my timing belt and waterpump and i got told he had forgot they were in there and fitted non genuine parts which i was not happy about. So were now 4k miles down since i have had the car back and i have been having to top the coolant up so i took it back to the specialist and it is now going to have to get the waterpump that is 2 months old replaced so now the question is was the timing belt and waterpump fitted i highly doubt a 2 month old waterpump would fail.So in conclusion i would not let allan motors service my pushbike this has now cost me twice one for getting the coilovers fitted correctly and now a timing belt and waterpump aswell a bunch of cowboys shoddy workmanship, and his mechanic alec i think his name is is nothing but arrogant and cheeky, he was speaking to my girlfriend like she was stupid on the times i sent her down with more parts.Complete cowboys.
