Being a local sole trader, I always prefer to purchase items from small local companies as well. We shopped around, and having spoken to all the local bed shops decided to purchase from Richard Cook at Bedworld (same Richard Cook who is also an Estate Agent at Remax Falkirk). We placed an order on 28th September, paying half the balance, and subsequently paid remaining amount when beds arrived in Bedworld. Beds delivered 15th October Both beds were damaged. Torn on headboard and sides, as well as underneath on one. Called Bedworld, and after some promised callbacks didn't come to fruition, I finally got hold of Richard all on same day as 15th October. He didn't seem too pleased as this was his day working as an Estate Agent. Anyway, as the owner of the company he came out to inspect the beds. He accepted the faults, and despite saying to him we wanted a refund, he was not interested. Instead, he turned round and advised us to go to Trading Standards, and walked out our house. We were left astonished that a local trader would do this. PLEASE BE WARNED, UNDER THE IMPRESSIONABLE SALES LINES, LIES A MAN WHO DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOU. ONCE HE HAS YOUR MONEY, HE HAS NO INTEREST IN YOU. Therefore, we went the only way we could, and returned the beds, placed a dispute with our bank, and they have refunded our money. We will now be looking at the other bed shops.PLEASE TAKE THIS AS A WARNING. IF THIS MESSAGE STOPS ONE PERSON FROM BEING RIPPED OFF FROM BEDWORLD FALKIRK, THEN I WILL BE PLEASED. THERE IS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE, OR CUSTOMER CARE. HIS ARROGANCE IS BEYOND ANYTHING I'VE EVER SEEN BEFORE. LIKE I SAID WE WERE HAPPY TO PURCHASE FROM HIM INITIALLY, BUT WERE CONNED INTO BELIEVING HE WAS A NICE GUY LOOKING AFTER US. YOU CAN ALWAYS TELL A GOOD BUSINESS WITH HOW IT DEALS WITH PROBLEMS. THIS IS NOT A GOOD COMPANY
