As a new landlord, I had apprehension about my abilities to deal with the tenants on my own plus the busy schedule made it impossible for me to keep an eye on things. I expected Only1Properties to look after my flat in return for the extremely high "management fee". the property was in no way the same condition as it was when i handed it over to Only1Properties. There had been significant damage done to the property including ripped and burns on the carpet, damage to the furniture and period-blood on the mattress. clearly no one from the company took the time to carry out an inspection after the tenants moved out and kept releasing the deposits in full even when there was damage done to the property.
Would not recommend. We found our own tenant but got charged 300 for the privilege. No one from only 1 properties could be bothered to make the viewing and didn't inform the prospective tenant. Luckily we were at the property doing the work that we had asked the agent to do mulitple times, their fees are above average, their repair charges are very high and the service is shocking. Maybe great for tenants but for landlord not at all.
Great !! I have been a tenant for over 3 years with Only 1 and couldn't have asked for a better letting agent. Staff are really friendly and if we have any maintenance issues were addressed and fixed really quickly. Wouldn't rent off anyone else !!
If you're a tenant, you'll have nothing but trouble with this lot. All they care about is getting your rent money. You need repairs done you'll be waiting and repeatedly calling for weeks. Delay one rent payment by a couple of days and they're all over you like a rash. It's obvious they see tenants as nothing but an inconvenience.
Would not recommendBought a property where this company was the agent. Had a query regarding the property and two seperate people told me they would chase this up with owner. This was not done. The sale was about to complete and I needed some further information. I sent two emails and they did not even bother replying to say if they could help. Will definitely not be using them if I'm selling or letting in future.
