Couldnt recommend these guys more highly. Great customer service from start to collection. Staff went above and beyond to make sure our Dyson was repaired and serviced quickly at great value for money.
Phoned him at 1630 on a Saturday night, I explained (badly) what I needed, he somehow knew what I meant and told me he would stay late if needed so I could pick the part up. Got to the shop and he had the part waiting for me and he made sure I knew what I was doing with it.
My Dyson DC14 stopped working in a cloud of smoke when the motor burned out after 8 years. A new Dyson seemed so pricey & I loved my DC14 so I phoned Domestic Appliance Parts to see if it was possible to fix it & whether it was worth it cost wise (I was thinking it might cost as much to fix as a new one). I was also worried about how long it might take to fix. Well I neednt have been - they were fantastic - they quoted under 80 & I could drop it off the next morning. They had it ready that SAME DAY, with a new motor, fully serviced and with all new filters! It works as if it was new - full suction & its even scented when I vacuum now! Id highly recommend this shop & will go back to them them if any of my other appliances break down.
Brilliant shop. Maybe the most friendlyand patient staff on the planet. If this was the x factor i would have given them a score of 110%
Not impressed, I'm afraid, even though their workman is a very nice friendly chap. My washing machine broke down on 17th December (a Sunday). I called Domestic Appliances on 18th December and arranged to have my machine fixed on the 22nd. I was willing to pay 85 to get the thing fixed before Christmas, instead of paying 28 to buy the parts myself on eBay. The chap turned up on the 22nd, but despite my repeatedly telling the woman at the shop that my machine was a Beko she had sent him out with Hotpoint parts. He didn't have the Beko parts available, so I got stuck having to do hand washing while trying to organise Christmas, which I was in any case having to do on a shoestring, because of the 85.On 29th December, the guy finally had the right parts, he came out and fixed the machine and got it working, and finished off by putting on the retaining spring which holds the door seal in place. On the evening of the 30th I opened the door of the washing machine and the retaining spring fell off onto the floor at my feet. I am scared to use the thing without the seal being properly fixed, I can't replace it myself unless I buy plastic clamps to hold it in place with while I work on it, which I can't afford at the moment, and Domestic Appliances appear to be closed until 8th Jan. So, apart from the 26 hours between the guy "fixing" the machine and the retaining spring falling off, during which I managed to do two washes, I've paid 85 and gone without a Christmas present in order to be without a washing machine for three weeks.
